A clear view of what the game keeps, and what it sends.

Stormcaster is a card game. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics or tracking tools and no in-app purchases. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

On your device

Your settings, profile (name and portrait), local games, statistics, tutorial progress and a random online identity used to reconnect all stay on your device. There is no cloud sync. Your phone's own backups may include app data.

Solo, pass & play and the tutorial run entirely on your device and send nothing.

Online play

Online play sends our server your chosen name and portrait, a random player id (not linked to who you are), the room code, your moves and the six fixed emotes. There is no chat.

Other players at your table see your name, portrait, emotes and the moves the rules reveal. Use a nickname; no real name is needed. Names that contain offensive words are shown as "Observer".

The server keeps a table (players, names, game state) only while it is open, and deletes it when the table closes: when everyone has left, or after a period of inactivity.

The app also fetches the game's news from our server; that request carries no personal data.

If you set a custom server address in Settings, online data goes to that server instead, under its operator's rules.

Hosting and logs

The website and game server run on Cloudflare. Like any web service, it sees your IP address when your device connects. We use it only for a moment, to stop anyone creating tables too fast, and do not store it.

The server keeps short technical logs about errors and table events (for example "table created" or "game ended") to help us fix problems. They contain no names, player ids or IP addresses, and are deleted after 7 days.

Children

Stormcaster is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

To delete local data, clear the app's storage (Android), delete the app (iOS) or clear site data in your browser. Leaving a table removes you from it; the table's server data disappears when it closes, and logs within 7 days.

Questions or requests: support@stormcaster.app. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
